As a self-confessed ceraunophile (lover of storms), one of my most favourite things ever is stormy weather. So how could I possibly resist entering this wonderful contest? 🌚🌩⚡️
My favourite thing to do in stormy weather is to go outside just as the wind is starting to whip up in gusts across the dry grass. When you can see the rain coming in the distance, and smell the rain, but the rain is still yet to hit.
Then, the sky darkens suddenly as storm clouds take over the sunshine and dry lightning begins to streak across the sky. There is an eerie calm, then the atmosphere becomes powerful and my hair whips across my face.
There’s only a few moments to drink it all in before the rain finally hits in gale force and I’m forced to retreat indoors.
