Good afternoon, everyone!

My entry for Show me a photo contest in the Feathered Friends Community - BEAK/BILL from nelinoeva@nelinoeva

I had to search for bird beaks in my photo archive. I didn't do any cropping because many of the photos were already taken with the zoom.

So, look what I found.
Arctic Tern. I took a capture of this bird one summer in Helsinki.I am impressed by this bird with its red beak and bright red legs. Although the beak is red only for a certain period from spring to fall. In some birds, the tip of the beak begins to turn darker in mid-summer. The Arctic tern is the only bird that migrates seasonally from the Arctic to the Antarctic. You probably know that in one year the Arctic Tern overcomes the distance up to 70 thousand km. One way flight lasts about a month.

European herring gull I think a lot of people are familiar with this bird. Look at that beak! The bird is resting, not paying attention to people.
