Taking a glimpse at the world we live in today. We can all imagine how the heavens' will feel about it.. soo much immoralities, brutalities and inhumane activities from we so-called humans.
I guess that's what this poem is all about.
Weeping heavens
Oh the heavens are weeping,
Like the raindrops fall dripping,
While the earth keeps drinking,
Only to bring forth thistles
All appeals to end man's vanity
Have only led to more insanity,
As corruption is treaded with levity,
And integrity with ignominy
After Ramadan, innocent rams
Lay down their precious lives.
During Easter, happy chickens,
End their journey abruptly in kitchens
The perfect sacrifice
We all ignore
All having gone astray,
Each to his own crooked way.
Can't you hear the heavens weeping,
As you see the rain dropping,
While mankind keeps sinking
In the ocean of moral bankruptcy
These are my reasons for weeping
Weeping for a world with no morrow.
Yet with so much sorrow,
Oh! The pains go deep to the marrow
