Welcome. Today I wanted to show off a few pictures I took while on my wild mushroom hiking date. No. Not those kind of mushrooms, although if we saw some we probably would have picked them too. This is Lower Bells Canyon Reservoir in Utah. I have never been on this hike before. I found it on the "All Trails" app. It sounded like it had a bunch of trees... but I was wrong. It was mostly small quaker trees as you can see. Nothing too crazy, especially for finding mushrooms. Needless to say, we got skunked on the Mushroom Hunt.

This is a photo about half way to the lake, maybe less. This is overlooking Salt Lake County. We didn't really like the fact that the trail head was close to the city. Thankfully we eventually got out of site of it.

This photo overlooks the south side of the trail. The previous photo was overlooking the west side. This part of the city actually falls into Utah County. You can see in the photo the magnificent mountains we have and how beautiful they are with the snow caps.

There were a couple cool things we saw on our way back down. This photo is of the area of town where the monetarily endowed live. Just slightly left and lower of center, you can see this bad ass rock water slide. That thing looked awesome and I was definitely a little jelly.

If you look very closely (also I drew an arrow to it), there is a deer in this brush. Unfortunately I got a little awe struck and didn't think to get a photo of them when they were just a 15ish feet away from us. By the time we got our phones out to snap a photo then ran off into the quakies. Anyway, the arrow is pointing to its white butt and its headed NW in the photo.

This last photo is another perspective of the lake. This is just before we were heading back down. I love the mountains out here. They are so beautiful. Although this hike wasn't successful for mushrooms, we did agree that it would be a great hike to come up and go swimming. There is also fishing here, but it is catch and release. Even with our lack of success for our hunt, I had a blast, it was a fun hike, and I had great company. The biggest draw back was that I got sunburned again... man being a ginger sucks sometimes...
