This is a game that I've been working towards for a good few years now. Some of you may recognise it, it's a game I'm basing off an old god game called Black and White I used to love playing when I was younger and I'm doing a re-make essentially and putting my own spin on things. Kind of like what the War for the overworld devs did with the Dungeon Keeper series.
The game I'm basing it off appears to be officially abandonware so as long as I'm putting in stuff that's my own I shouldn't run into any licensing issues. Made a lot of progress lately including adding in building mechanics and some background stuff to do with villager population. I can also now grow trees and pick them up and plant them as well as dump them in the local workshop for wood just like in the original game.
