Hello, community friends!

Yesterday was the day to set up our Christmas tree at home! 🎄
I wanted to wait until December, but my daughter was way too excited, and I just couldn’t say no.

I always store the ornaments, the tree, and the lights in a single box to save space, as our apartment is small. That’s why we opted for a smaller tree, which is easier to assemble and store after Christmas.

While setting it up, I couldn’t help but remember my childhood. When I was a kid, my grandmother always put up the Christmas tree, but she rarely let me help. She had a good reason: the ornaments were made of glass, very delicate, and I broke quite a few back then. The tree was natural — my grandfather would cut it from the woods near their house, making the tradition even more special.

At home, things were a bit different. My parents worked a lot and didn’t have the habit of decorating Christmas trees. Even so, visiting my grandmother always made up for it. I can still recall some details of the ornaments, even those that no longer exist (probably because I broke them!). But she never scolded me; she understood the curiosity of a child.

Now, as an adult, I understand how hectic life can be. The little time my parents had at home was spent on household chores or much-needed rest. That’s why I make a point of spending as much time as I can with my daughter. I know moments like setting up the Christmas tree are unique and won’t last forever, so I cherish every second.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend filled with special moments with your loved ones!
