Hello Friends, and thank you for your visit!

It is #wednesdaywalk #14 of 2026, and for this week I went over to the "Sutter Wildlife Refuge - aka Ennis Joslyn Park - lower side".
But first, as always I want to thank @tattoodjay for this community - Congrats to you!

And "Thank You" for this community!
So, for this weeks #wednesdaywalk I wanted to go someplace I don't go very often, so I headed over to the "Refuge" - and was shocked! I have been coming to this place for at least a decade. What I saw when I got there was more than a shock to me, as for the whole previous time, beyond lawn mowing and trash removal - nothing happened here.
So let's get started - as they say!
This was my first clue that the Park had changed. They had a area for the kiddos before - that's gone and this is the new one,
Also new is the cement walkway, and the "trees with buckets around them". They are everywhere!
This is a view along the back side. Beyond the bushes is the Channel - I will get to that, shortly!
This is an area I used to fly "Drones" out from. There used to be bushes everywhere. Now it goes down to the water,
And in this area, when you get there - Texas A&M is across the Channel,
Here is the path that leads down there. This used to be a dirt trail, also the white rocks are new,
Coming back towards the Parking Lot from that section this is another path, and you can see how many trees they put in,
And this is going out past the Parking lot from a little further along the trail,
Now one may ask - "are these new trees all getting watered". I did, so I took a closer look...
Yes, there is almost as many of these as there is new trees. And think, we are under a "drought warning"...
This one either got mowed with a mower or someone stomped it over. I found the Sprinkler head and screwed it back on,
I also found these "Honey Mesquite" trees / bushes (?) growing - something else new.
And I also found quite a few of these - also new,
A little closer,
And a flower,
This is a Jerusalem Thorn - aka, Mexican Palo Verde. Absolutely Vibrant!
I decided to end the list there and call this Part One. On the next days I will post a Part Two. If I would go on it would be a post at least double as long!
And so,
I want to thank you again for your visit - "Stay Blessed, Safe, and Happy"!
Please Take Care of Your Loved Ones - "All - Ways"
