i do not have many keepsakes, but i do have a lot of books and journals. it is interesting, though, because reading old books and journals, i'm more struck with what i've forgotten than what i've remembered.
i can see in my journals where i wrote something down that i felt was quite important, that i have no memory of, not even a lingering commitment.
the pandemic isolation has given me plenty of time with my wife and pets and though it's been hard, i will treasure these memories. but just in case, i should write some things down.
