After a bit of painting and Hive hiatus, I'm back with the latest oil painting

It should not be so surprising that if we should enter into the #labyrinth of the self, that at the very centre we might find a #monster. The journey within can be a perilous one in which we may become lost and devoured. Theseus trusted in his his archetypical opposite, his anima, represented by Ariadne to provide the means, a ball of thread, to retrace his steps back out of the Labyrinth to the conscious world.
Painted with a limited palette of Titanium White, Cadmium Red, Cadmium Yellow, Van Dyck Brown and Paynes Grey.
