This idea is great, I really had an idea going around in my head very similar to this and the one commented by @ducecrypto, however, but slightly different, in my case I am from Latin America, from Venezuela to be exact, Latin America would compete, to select the best 8 players of this region, but regional tournaments would have to be held first, to decide the best, then, they should qualify to the world tournament, I talk about qualifying because, Latin America has very good players.

I am thinking of making a post about it, with my thoughts about this, I don't know what @azircon thinks about it.
