If you click on wallet you should see the steem and steem power and steem dollar amounts of your account.

In your case it shows 1 steem power (from signup I guess) and
STEEM POWER
1.000 STEEM
(+145.232 STEEM)

the (+X) means afaik you are powering up - you have transferred steem to your account, then selected power up and now it takes a few days to arrive in steem power.
(see on the wallet page: "Steem can be converted to STEEM POWER in a process called powering up.")

In case you want to transfer steem (steem power does not work, it is "investement into steem" and needs to be powered down for 3 weeks, in exchange you get a bit of interest) or steem dollar to Poloniex, open the deposit there.
Then take the shown string, something like "Suij839hSH" and insert it into memo after you selected transfer here on steemit.
Then make the next click on Polo to show you the address - that is the username of poloniex. Copy that into the username field and send it with your active key.

Always make external backups of your private keys!!
