On the 24 th of December is Leonid Filatov's birthday.
Filatov was a famous actor and later a director. He starred a lot of films, like "Grachi" (rooks), "Zabytaya melodia dlya fleity" (Forgotten Melody for a Flute ), "Ekipazh" (Crew), "Sukiny deti"( Sons of Bitches it is a 1990 Soviet drama film directed by Leonid Filatov. It was entered into the 17th Moscow International Film Festival).
His teatrical and cinema work is real heritage, as weel as his poems and litreture work.
Filatov's poetry is tender and profound, charming and satirical.
I like many Russian poets : Pushkin and Lermontov, Bunin and Akmatova. Filatov's poetry, in my opinion, is the same level as giants like Pushkin and Tyutchev.
And Filatov is so close to me, he is from my parents generation but anyway he is my contemprary, he described things that i knew and felt like modern Moscow and Soviet reality.
