It's obvious that babies can see only bright colours , first time they recognize red, yellow, orange... It's better to create something bright, multi-coloured.
For toddlers and as a decor element you can make " white sheep mobile".
1)I took a softwire and rolled it in white wool
- I added wooden beads to woolen sticks and got a kind of a dome
- Making a sheep
First I made a woolen ball (better to make an oval), added this ball to a fluffy, not tough woolen ball (see the difference on the photos), later i made four sheep's legs.
Don't forget about eyes and ears. On a mat I made ears and with tiny quantity of black wool I made eyes.
- I made not very solid ball from white wool with addition of light-blue wool. And I also added a leaf.
I put some wool through a hole of the leaf pendant and with help of water and soap made a thread (wet felting technique), this woolen thread i poked to the ball
- With help of a sewing needle I connected sheep and sticks.
- With help of a needle I added two threads to hang my mobile to my baby's cot.
you can change sewing threads to woolen or suede (and use a special needle with a big hole ) ropes not to let a baby hurt hands, just in a case
Sheep mobile is ready!
