I was lost

I remember when I was around seven years old, I had a case of getting lost for some hours. I wanted to go out and play. One day around noon, the sun above me was shining so hot, so my mother told me to stay home and help her making lunch, but I didn't listen to her and went outside the house. There was no one around to play with, so I decided to go farther and find someone to play with. I went farther and farther from the house and since we moved to this neighborhood not so recent, I wanted to explore the surroundings. Suddenly I felt I was lost and the sun was shining so hot and my whole tiny body was in sweats. I wasn't that kind of kid who would start crying, so I decided to look for the house by exploring all direction: the south, north, east and west until I find something familiar, and I'll go from there to find the house. It was at that time that a man not far from me noticed that I am lost and looking around. He came closer and closer to me and asked me "where is your house? are you lost?". I wasn't scared of him since he was nice at the beginning. Then, he suddenly took my hands and said " lets go together to find your house?? oh, you have beautiful jewelry!". I was wearing one set of small gold earrings and two fake gold bracelets. As my hands was in his grip, he was trying to take the two bracelets from my hands thinking they are made from gold. The sun was so hot and my whole body turned red from the fear of that man.
As he was trying to take the bracelets which were so tight attached to my hands, one of our neighbors was walking past us and he recognized me and he quickly recognized that the man is a stranger and is trying to steal the jewelry. He shouted from not far a distance: " what are doing? ...leave her alone!!!!
The man got uneasy an scared noticing our neighbor, although his last try was successful and he managed to take the bracelets out of my hands and then he ran away. Then, our neighbor took me to our house. My mother worried about me, but not that much however when he heard the story from our neighbor about the stranger who was a thief, she shouted at me and told me she will never let me play or go outside. Of course that didn't happen.
