Dark. The stream of consciousness is back. I love it when you write like this. I appreciated all the references, but especially survive, that's an order.
It really does seem like the Earth is fighting back, right? Here we all sit in our houses, trying to protect ourselves from the virus and yet to Her, we are the virus. The virus is just Her immune system.
It's all very ironic, isn't it? We get angry at the things that kill us; we personify them all the time. We create a villain inside of us and call it evil. Just look at all the people echoing fuck cancer anytime it comes up, grimly half-joking of how our faulty organs are trying to kill us. And yet we so often fail to personify the greater being that we spend our lives destroying. We don't put ourselves in Her shoes because that would be an inconvenient truth.
What would your Patronus look like and what would it do to the situation we find ourselves in?
The Patronus always seemed sort of half-corporeal; do you think they could carry us if they wanted to? If so I think my Patronus would be something that could fly. A very large bird, or maybe a dragon, or maybe I could have a hippogriff. You know, in our arrogance we've decided we deserve to survive the immune response, so we're all locking ourselves in and locking others out. I know it's necessary for now, but I feel so trapped. I really wish something would just come get me and take me somewhere else, you know? I wish I had known everything was shutting down, that the End Times were approaching. I'd have chosen somewhere else to ride out the Apocalypse.
Guess all I can do now is do my best to follow orders.
