Hi folks!
Do you like winter? I always have a love-hate relationship with this season. As a person who was born and nurtured in a tropical country, I do love the winter's snow. At the same time, I also hate going outside in winter since it is freezing, and the roads are slippery because of the snow.
However, there is a place in Switzerland that makes me want to stroll around even when the winter comes, and it is Grindelwald.
Grindelwald 鈥榮 view is breath-taking.
Grindelwald is a mountain village in the Jungfrau region. This place is also one of the filming locations of a James Bond's movie - 芦On Her Majesty's Secret Service禄 (retrieved from https://stories.jungfrauregion.swiss/en/im-auftrag-ihrer-majestaet).
The area can be reached easily by train and it took me about 3 hours and a half to get there from Geneva. As I went there in the middle of the pandemic, there were not many tourists, and most of the restaurants and shops were closed. Thus, the place was peaceful and quiet.
There were only a few people on the streets.
If you're a ski enthusiast, Grindelwald is a great destination as it offers various ski trails. However, if you aren't, this place is still a must-visit in Switzerland as just being a fl芒neur and enjoying the village's beauty is interesting enough. I didn't know how to ski, so I just spent a day wandering around the place, playing with the snow and watching other people skied down the hill.

In the evening, the houses in the area started to turn on the light and it made Grindelwald become a magical village.
This scene was picturesque. I love the contrast of the cold colours from the snow, mountains and the warm light from the houses. I wanted to wait until the sky became darker, but it was freezing outside so I had to come home.

Grindelwald is beautiful in all seasons. It's also very famous for its summer scenery and hiking trails. I'll come back here in summer and share more pretty photos with you.
