Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):
The Prophet said, "Whoever does not give up forged speech and evil actions, Allah is not in need of his leaving his food and drink (i.e. Allah will not accept his fasting.)"

Benefits of The Hadeeth
1.Knowledge that fasting entails abstinence from food,drink and vulgar statements and deeds.
2.Desirability of avoiding vulgar speech and action while fasting.
3.Obligation of abstaining from food and drink,during the day while fasting,as both nullify the fast.
