Hello Hive friends all over the world!
I hope you’re all doing well and enjoying your own food adventures wherever you may be. Today, I want to share a simple yet satisfying story about how a routine transaction turned into a memorable eating‑out experience.

Recently, I had to finish some paperwork at the PAG‑IBIG office. Once everything was settled, I realized it was already past lunchtime. My stomach was grumbling, so I decided to look for a place nearby to eat.

I walked for about 10 minutes around the area and stumbled upon a humble carinderia: one of those small eateries that always feel welcoming. Since it was already late, there weren’t many viands left to choose from. Luckily, the one available was one of my favorites: Bicol Express.
I ordered the following:
One serving of Bicol Express — creamy, spicy, and full of flavor
One cup of rice — the perfect partner for the viand

500ml bottled water — refreshing and simple
A free bowl of soup generously given by the staff

The total bill was ₱100, which is approximately $1.75 — very affordable for a filling meal!
I left the carinderia satisfied, not just because of the food but also because of the warmth of the staff who offered soup for free. Sometimes, the simplest meals in the simplest places bring the most comfort.
Thank you, my Hive friends, for reading about my little food adventure today. See you in my next food adventure!
