Coffee Break Update: Tiny Chicks, Big Motivation, and Another Step in My DIY Incubation Journey
Good day, my dear Hive friends all over the word! Hello, Feel Good Community! It really feels good to post in this lovely community for the first time. 🥰
I'm currently enjoying a short coffee break from my busy day, and I thought this would be the perfect time to share a quick update with all of you. Writing these little updates and receiving encouragement from my ever-supportive Hive friends continues to motivate and inspire me, especially during those moments when life feels challenging and overwhelming.
NOTE: Please just focus on the pictures of the chicks and disregard the "dirty thing" they produce because I am cleaning them at the end of the day. Sorry! 😁🤣 They were just mixed up with the feeds. The tiny creatures scatter them. 🥰
Just a while ago, I checked on the five newly hatched chicks inside my DIY incubator. Seeing them again instantly brightened my mood. They were all peacefully sleeping together, looking comfortable and safe. What made the moment even more adorable was the way they were huddled closely beside each other. They seemed as if they were hugging one another while sleeping, creating a heartwarming sight that made me smile.
As someone who has been following this incubation journey from the beginning, moments like this make all the effort worthwhile. From preparing the incubator to monitoring the eggs and patiently waiting for them to hatch, every stage has been an exciting learning experience. Now that the chicks are finally here, I feel both happy and relieved to see them doing well.
Although they are still very small, I can already see signs that they are becoming active and curious. In fact, I noticed that they have been eating quite a lot. Because of that, I already placed feeds and water inside the box to make sure they can easily access what they need whenever they become hungry or thirsty. By the way, I removed them from the incubator after 48 hours and transferred to a box.
Later, when I have some extra time, I plan to transfer them to a bigger cage (which I plan to make using recycled materials like wood, etc.). I believe they'll be more comfortable there as they continue to grow stronger every day. The incubator served its purpose well during the hatching period, but these little ones will soon need more space to move around and explore.
For now, I'm simply enjoying this beautiful stage of the journey while sipping my coffee and appreciating the simple joys that these tiny creatures bring. It's amazing how such small chicks can give so much happiness and remind us to keep moving forward one day at a time.
Thank you once again to everyone who continues to follow my DIY incubation adventure. Your support, comments, and encouragement mean a lot to me and help keep my motivation alive. Wishing everyone a wonderful day ahead! 🙏💙
