Mumbai which was once known as Bombay was originally 7 islands that have been fused together over time and large infastructure projects. It is the 6th most population dence city in the world with 12.5 million people in the city center and up to 23 million people in the metropolitan region. Of any city in the world it is 8th in the number of billionairs that live there and 1st in their average wealth. It has been colonized by both Portuguese and lastly the English. The water front area at the far tip is called The Queens Necklace Marine Drive and we will take a little trip through there today. These pictures come from a trip I took there in December of 2016.
Below you will see a close view of the area I will be showing you and the numbers will correspond to some different stops along the way.
Our first stop is point 1 on the map the hanging gardens that are at the norther most part of the bay and give a nice view over the Queens Necklass in some places as it is on top of a hill.
The park seemed to be very popular with locals and families. You can definitely tell from the drop off point.
Across the street the park continued with a kids playground area and a great view over the bay and city.
From here we stopped at number 2 mid way down the Necklace, we looked into going into the aquarium but we did not for whatever reason, I can't remember if it was the wait or price.
Next door to the aquarium was a large cricket and sports complex.
After a short break here we ended up around point 3 for the sunset and views.
