The Avtolikon 645 is a prototype of a medium format SLR camera with a multi-mode refinement of the exposure parameters of the light reflected from the film during the exposure period. On one 120-format film, charged in a special removable cassette, fit 16 frames. The original aperture, interlinzovy shutter, for which the copyright certificate was issued, provided a range of exposures: from 8 sec. up to 1/500 sec. and "B" in manual mode. In automatic mode - this shutter allowed setting shutter speeds from 16 sec. up to 1/500 sec.
For the first time in the domestic camera industry, exposure processing at a medium format camera could be carried out, both in automatic and manual modes.
Despite the fact that the camera was incredibly quickly designed and tested, it was never launched into mass production.
Total produced 5 copies. One industrial copy was left in the Leningrad GOI for eternal storage, a prototype, a prototype, and the first factory chamber No. = 0002 was transferred by the author of the project - engineer Zyl Adam Andreevich - to the disposal of the Photo World Museum in Minsk. The fate of the other cameras is unknown.
