Few people know that the sculpture "Motherland is calling!" on Mamayev Hill in Stalingrad (now Volgograd) - this is only the second part of the composition of the three monuments with the Sword of Victory in different cities. The first part of the "Rear - Front" stands in Magnitogorsk, where the sword of Victory was forged. On it, the worker gives the sword to the soldier. "Motherland is calling!" symbolizes that the sword was raised in Stalingrad. And the third "Warrior-Liberator" monument is in Berlin, where a Soviet soldier-liberator dropped this sword. Specialists call these monuments "Triptych:" The sword is transferred, the sword is raised, the sword is lowered ". It is noteworthy that the chronology of the erection of these monuments differs from the chronology of the sword. In Berlin, the monument was erected in 1949, in Volgograd in 1967, in Magnitogorsk in 1979.
