The most perfect timing is when the help to come when you needed it the most and perfect timing could never be wrong. I still remember that day so clearly.
I was going through a really difficult time. Money was tight, my bank account was almost empty, and there was barely any food at home to eat. Things felt overwhelming, but I decided to withdraw the little money I had left and head to the market to buy some food stuff at least I have to eat to survive.
Unfortunately, things got even worse. Somewhere along the way, I lost my purse. To this day, I'm not sure exactly where it happened. It was probably on the bus, all I knew was that when I reached for it, it was gone, everything was gone except the phone I was holding.
My heart sank, the little money I had was gone, I couldn't buy food stuff, and I didn't even have any money to get back home. I remember standing there feeling completely helpless and dejected, wondering what else could possibly go wrong.
Then my phone rang, It was a friend I hadn't spoken to in quite some time and I picked it reluctantly. The moment I heard her voice, I couldn't hold it in anymore, I became so emotional and I started crying and told her everything that had happened.
Without even thinking twice, she told me to come to her place. She said she would meet me at the bus stop and make sure I got there safely.
When I arrived, she had already prepared food. We sat together, ate, talked, and somehow everything felt a little lighter. She even gave me some food from her house and transport fare to get back home.
What touched me most wasn't the food or the money. It was knowing that someone cared enough to show up for me when I needed it most and that experience stayed with me.
It reminded me that asking for help isn't something to be ashamed of. Sometimes we all need a helping hand. It also taught me how much impact a simple act of kindness can have on someone's life.
Whenever I think about that day, I'm reminded that we never really know what someone else is going through. A phone call, a kind word, or a small gesture can mean more than we realize. My friend's call came at exactly the right time, and I'll always be grateful for it.
Thanks for checking on my blog and have a wonderful day
