Another family get together on Christmas Day. The atmosphere in Jack and Les' home was perfect for a cold day in December.
The weather started out lovely and still and the sun was shining - but it got very cold later in the day reminding us that it was winter.
A friend came to join us with her 10 year old daughter as her husband was in quarantine - having a not so nice experience - with bad food - so it was sad for her but at least Charmaine and her daughter, Chelsea were able to enjoy the day with us.

The food was delicious. My mom made a roast lamb - cooked overnight - and it was so tender - best I have ever tasted. Les made two chickens and Charmaine brought a roast gammon. All of this was served with broccoli, petite pois, rice, roast vegetables and pumpkin pie.
Les made a Malva pudding for dessert - served with cream and Amarula Cream Liquor.

Late afternoon I went for a walk on the promenade with my sister. We have been having a walk almost every day.
It was a very special day - a Christmas to remember.
This promenade is right in front of the Airbnb where we stayed - a Christmas gift from Jack and Lesley.
