Drawing a face straight on is one thing, but the moment the head starts turning, everything suddenly feels different. Drawing faces at certain angles can be a humbling experience because the features shift, the proportions change, and everything can look weird with just one mistake.
I shared this face portrait days ago and I really struggled with it but instead moving on, I decided to try again.
So I drew another one.
Then another.
Then one more.
Four faces in total, and I just knew that I still had so much to learn. For the new ones, I added different hairstyles so I could further see how they looked.
Honestly, I’m glad I did it.
This exercise wasn't about making four perfect portraits, I just wanted to understand what I was getting wrong and giving myself another chance to figure it out.
