it's been a while I drew locs so I'm sharing a new drawing where I focused mainly on the hair.
This one has a lot more personality to play with, especially because of the hair. I wanted the dreads to look quite big and full, then long thin red ribbons twisted around it in specific areas. The red against the dark hair made the whole drawing feel a bit more alive.
I want to do more drawings where one detail does most of the talking. In this one, it was definitely the ribbons. There's no deep artistic meaning behind it, I just liked the idea and wanted to see what it would look like on paper.
