I wanted to practice two things at once: different angles and different expressions, which sounded and looked simple in my head until I actually tried it, in one sitting.
When a face is turned to the side, it suddenly makes the nose, eyes, and mouth feel like they're all playing by completely different rules. Adding an expression on top of that makes things get even more interesting and litte bit difficult.
The girl in the center looks calm, straight face, looking forward with no type of emotion on her face and was quite easy to draw. The one on her right looks a little worried, and the last has that expression where you can’t quite tell with that mark on her forehead.
I definitely struggled with some parts, but that’s exactly why I wanted to draw all three instead of stopping after one.
The more faces I draw, the more I realise that there isn’t really one “correct” way to draw a face. Tiny changes can completely change the mood.

Have a lovely Sunday...
