Leeds today unveiled their new away kit. Kit unveilings for the upcoming season are still quite exciting even though I am no longer in the queue to be one of the first to purchase a shirt these days. In no particular order because I live in Thailand, and they cost 拢50 a pop!!
So today's unveiling was led by the Goalies shirt which is bright orange, a little bit garish some might say but not too bad but later in the day, this appeared. The official away strip that will be worn for the first time on Sunday when we play Bristol away.
Twitter lit up like a birthday cake for an octogenarian. Its got lots pink and is rather different from the standard all yellow strip of yore. Needless to say, many of the fans were not too happy but I have to say, I really like it!
Its new Leeds, it's different. But at the same time, its old Leeds. It's us saying to the rest of the world " we don't give a fuck" and that is exactly who we are.
I think it will grow on the fans, especially when we hammer Bristol City at Ashton Gate on Sunday. Then it will be considered a 'lucky' kit and will sell in droves.
We can be a superstitious lot up at Leeds ;-)
