So first, a bit of news. Due to the farming attempts, I've changed things around a little and removed the automatic appearance fees but increased the minimum prize fund. It will now start at 8K + 8K, I will also try to ensure that all players get an upvote on their entry. This will mean the game will be a little more skill based. There will also be an EXTRA competition launched for the final knockout stages but I will post about that in a couple of days.
Well, what a game last night between Portugal and Germany! The normally conservative Germans threw everything into attack and reaped the dividends. without doubt the best game I've seen so far and it will make the final day of group F interesting!
Spain were still lacking in ideas and without a win as I predicted in their 1-1 draw with Poland and that means nothing is yet decided in Group E and with the possibility of Spain being eliminated and Lewandowski pulling on his shooting boots, it's going to be another interesting final day.
We of course had loads of winners again and as usual, full details at the end. Today, it's the final day of Group A but I'm leaving the Italy game alone as that's pretty much a foregone conclusion and so we go to...
As we can see from the table, both these teams have it all to play for! The four best performing third place teams go through so if Turkey were to win, it's quite possible they might get through to the knockout stages, but the Swiss will be needing a win which will almost assure their participation in the last 16.
You might notice however, that a draw would screw both of their chances! It's going to be very interesting to see how this plays out.
The Swiss will be at full strength and will probably field an unchanged team but the Turks will have to make changes in an attempt to turn around two losses by a total of 5 goals with no- reply if they want to keep their hopes alive.

The Small Print
In the first goal scorer competition, own goals do not count. In the correct score competition, it's the score after 90mins. Extra time and penalties do not count and the pot for each competition will roll over if there is no winner. If more than one person chooses the same first goal scorer or correct score, the prize is shared, and everyone gets a little upvote! It seems I also need to add, one entry per person. Don't forget the new rule that only people with a rep of 45 or above are eligible to enter unless they have been approved. The bonus will be added to any winnings ONLY if Leeds United win and/or Man U lose and all pay-outs will never exceed 50% of post pay-out. Other bonuses paid out at my discretion.
