Hey guys, if you haven’t had the chance, please check out our earlier posts.
Also, a quick reminder that we are changing to a new format for our weekly updates.
Additionally, from this update, we shall refer to Ledgerback as “Network,” instead of “Association.”
Today, we want to talk to our readers (“You”) about: 1) our activities; 2) life of a cryptographic ledger startup; 3) member recruitment; and 4) work on our publications.
For the past week, we have been working on our logo, certificates, website, and our roadmap.
First, our logo development is coming along smoothly and we hope to show You our prototype pretty soon.
Second, we are still working on our certificates, with possibly issuing a collective token in the near future. If you have any ideas concerning our certificate format, please reply or send an email to [email protected].
Third, we are making progress on issuing a temporary website focusing on the Network itself. We plan to issue three types of websites focusing on the Network as: 1) a Cooperative Association; 2) an interdisciplinary community/social network for curated resources (a la ConcourseQ? & Meetups?) ; and 3) a provider of services and initiatives.
Fourth, we are on track to meet our September 2018 goals.
We finally got our official physical location! Even though we are an internet-based Network, we thought it would be important to also have a physical location for people to connect with us.
Over the last couple of weeks, we have been confronting multiple regulatory and compliance requirements and concerns for our committees, projects and initiatives we have contemplated. For example, our Airdrop Committee is determining the best manner to proceed after the recent Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) administrative order against Tomahawk Exploration LLC concerning the legality of bounty programs. Additionally, we have contemplated new ventures that have taken us to some unexpected territory and requiring us to dive into compliance requirements for multiple industries.
All in all, it’s been a humbling and surprising experience the amount of compliance review we have had to conduct compared with our initial thoughts were when we started the Network.
We are still looking for new members to fill vacant positions in the Network. We have Committee Head positions available on our Novabyte, Softlaw, Knowledgebase, Amalgam, Jammer, Sec-Audit, FUDetox, and Whitepaper committees. If you want to fill any of the vacant positions, please reply below or send an email to [email protected].
We are going to name our Podcast … Trinary, we hope you like the name! Trinary is a reference to a base three system, as opposed to binary, which is a base two system. Trinary podcasts will include 1) weekly news; 2) updates on the Network; and 3) member and non-member stories and testimonials.
We are in Phase 1 (“Research”) of our Blockchain and Music Article (we’ll think of a catchier name later). If you want to research blockchain-related uses in music, please reply or send us an email at [email protected].
What are the best base rules for disparate but interconnected blockchains?
What is the best consensus algorithm for interoperability?
What would you call a distributed ledger startup?
Thank you for reading our eighth weekly update. Stay tuned for much more!
