What will you do tonight?

Far from you I start to think
in the loneliness that oppresses my heart,
and in truth that so much absence
it makes me sad, tired and hurt.

In the same distance I evoke you
and review old poems
that I wrote to you in distant times
and that they were recorded
in a silence of painful lines.

What are you going to do tonight
without love, without faith, without light?

I close my eyes, and I do know
I'll be watching over you tonight.

I take out the guitar and a notebook
and I put music to some inspiration
in our times of happiness,
and not even sadness has compassion.
