In Indonesian, there are numerous phrases and words for compliments.
I've got two things for you in this lesson.
- Bagus - good
Bagus is used for general compliments. Giving compliments with the sign of a thumb nail above is a common expression in Indonesia. - Mantap - Great (Stronger than good).
Mantap carries a more positive connotation/notation than good.You can practice your intonation in the video. - Enak - Delicious | Sekali - Very
Enak sekali - Very delicious . You can use enak when you try some food or drink. Sekali is to emphasize the effect of the compliment.
You can also have a mix of the two.
