I should be honest and say that becoming a full-time author is not possible for me. I am an example. It does not mean that I generalize all Hive authors.
It is sad to see one of my favourite communities is now dead. I am sure that one of the reasons is earning. When the authors have no sustainable earnings, they will leave the platform. It is simple.
My post may not make all hive members happy, but this is a fact. I have a pal friend in Hive that used to earn around $25 net per post. Now he finds it difficult to earn $5 net per post.
Some people will say that you must invest in Hive to power up. I will say, I do power up, but I need money, so I power down the power. Why did I power down? because my earnings are not enough.
Am I not consistent enough to make great content? I'd like to point out that there is no formal content standardization in Hive.The standardization is usually done by communities. What do you think when a community with good standards dies?
Whale support is very important. Authors who have spent their efforts in Hive for a long time should earn priority. In fact, my friend is now in a difficult situation because some of the whales that supported him halted their upvotes.
I apologize if my short post will make some of you feel irritated, but I should state the facts about what is going on.
