This is a radioactive Uranium glass platter! Before 1960, uranium oxide was used as a colorant on some glassware and ceramic. When placed under a black or UV light, it will emit a brilliant fluorescent green glow. Thought this was pretty cool and had to share it! We inherited this from my husband's late grandmother. We don't use this to serve food as it is not safe to do so. Wish I had a Geiger counter!
