So far the story is quite good. I just finished the 1st book and started the second. My wife says that the full trilogy is incredible. The concept is very interesting and is goes very deep into science and quantum mechanics so for me its been worth reading even despite some parts being written a little poorly. I'll let you know once I finish the trilogy if it's worth the undertaking. They also started a series on Netflix and completed season one. Its actually pretty good as well so that's another option if you have Netflix.
