Yes exactly. I'm the same. That can be an issue with series, especially when you buy the whole thing complete and read them consecutively. I get it if you complete one book when it first comes out and then have to wait a couple of years for the next one to be released and need a reminder. If the author is a slow writer and takes forever to release books. But even still, its often not necessary.

I forgot to mention I don't actually know who Michael Crichton is. I looked him up and see that he wrote jurassic Park. Thats cool.
