There are still so many different uses for the Blockchain with its disruptive technology, shaking up the world for the better
Down below I have listed more industries that are ripe for the creative destruction that's here.
7.cloud storage - All data located on a centralised server are vulnerable to hacking, data loss and human error. Blockchain technology allows cloud storage to become less prone to attacks as well as a safer alternative to storing value data due to allowing decentralised data storage unlike centralized databases which requires internet access. The company working within this space is Storj. They also have a cryptocurrency coin named you guessed it....... Storjcoin..... Go figure.
8- Charity - Within the charity space the most common complaints are mainly to due with inefficiency and corruption (cough Hilary cough Clinton). The average CEO earner of the top 100 charities within the UK averaged £255.000 ($329950.88) or almost double at including bonuses in a 2015 study. Blockchain is a efficient method of keeping track of donations and to make sure donations actually go to where they're supposed to go. Bitgive foundation is a charity using blockchain technology helping to ensure donors know exactly where their money is going ensuring trust within the charity industry going forward. This is a video from the Hatian president talking about the Hilary Clinton charity fruad during the Hatian donation campaign in 2010 earthquake (there is a longer video out there.)
9. Voting - One of the most vital building blocks in our society is our abilty to vote. Blockchain technology is very helpful in the industry. Due to the recent controversy involving Donald Trump claiming voter fraud, which wouldn't be he first time it has happened. Just look at Brexit. Even though our officials say that it is a "Mistake" it is not good enough. Blockchain can help allow voter registration and vertification ensuring there is no vote rigging. Democracy.earth and Followmyvote are two start ups aiming to help disrupt the way our democracy functions by allowing far more transparency within the system then there currently is today.
10. Government - Due to the sluggish nature of government and their ability to take long with practically everything nowadays. Government systems have therefore become opaque, prone to large amounts of corruption and waste. Blockchain can reduce the need for bureaucracy whilst allowing for more transparency of governmental operations, efficiency as well as security. Dubai is aiming to become the first country to put all of it's government documentation upon the Blockchain by 2020. The company working with Dubai to achieve this goal is Consensys and have actually been appointed Blockchain City Advisor to the City of Dubai.
11. public benefits - The public benefits systems suffers from rampant fraud, slowness and bureacracy . The Blokchain can help the government to access, verify and distribute benefits securely in a streamlined fashion without massive amounts of waste. Govcoin is a UK based startup helping the government to distribute public benefits using Blockchain technology. Now Although i disagree with the principle of getting something for nothing. Their is a project named circle, which is working upon a means for universal basic income.
If you know any industries that Blockchain is looking to disrupt and i have not mentioned than do post it down below.
