What? No Crypto review?

Normally, I would review a cryptocurrency on the Tuesday. But, there is so much to find. And the choice to take a good look at a crypto is just TOO big. In addition, I do not know at all which crypto you find interesting to read more about. So today the first question is, "Which cryptocurrencies are you interested in? What would you like to know more about?" It makes it a lot easier for me if I know where your interests lie, and looking at the crypto that I know you find interesting gives me a lot more motivation because I know that it is gratefully read. And not all the hours of searching have been in vain.

Blockfolio App

For that reason, no cryptocurrency today, but a little look at the Blockfolio App. Not sure if you use these? I don't use it myself yet, I use Coinmarketcap mostly myself. But since I noticed for the second time in just ten days a very big difference in the Dark Energy Crystals (DEC) price, I was looking if another crypto portfolio tracker was a better choice. So I was investigating whether it could be interesting for me to start using it.

Blockfolio is a crypto tracking app. With the increasing popularity of cryptocurrencies, there are also more and more opportunities to start trading cryptos. Both nationally and internationally, there are various options with which you can invest and trade. Although most wallets are very user-friendly and accessible, we often experience one drawback. You can always see the current price of your invested altcoins, but the value of your total profit margin is often lost. One day you buy bitcoins again while the next day you sell another coin, but how do you know if you still have a profit?

Not every wallet offers all possible altcoins, so in practice it often happens that we have different tokens in different wallets. It is often difficult to keep an overview of your current portfolio. How much had you invested again and in which coins? And more importantly, was it worth the investment at all?

Blockfolio: the ultimate crypto tracker​​​​​

Blockfolio is a free crypto portfolio tracker where you can track your entire crypto portfolio via the application, it is a digital collection point for all your cryptocurrencies with their total investment value, market value and of course your total profit per coin. Home screen

In the main menu of Blockfolio you immediately get an overview of your own portfolio. The blue colored bar shows you the current value of your entire investment. This is a total overview of your entire portfolio, of all your investments. When you open it you can change the interface to a day, week or even month or year. When you blindly panic because the price is falling, you can see what the situation is on a weekly basis. This way you can immediately see if you still have a profit and if you are doing well!

In the central part you see specifications of your current portfolio.

Do you only want to buy from a certain amount? Set an alert by activating the bell next to your crypto and don't miss any opportunity!

Signal

Signal is a communication platform where you get more information about the latest tweets and notifications of the cryptos in your wallet. Is there a change coming that could affect the price? Then you don't want to miss this information! The signals functionality keeps you up-to-date, as it were, on the ins and outs of the coins you have chosen.

News

Where Signals is about individual posts, you will find the latest official news items in the news overview. Are you curious about the predictions or do you just want to learn more about a certain currency? By reading these news items daily, you will learn more about your investments and about the price fluctuations of your crypto. Are you rather skeptical and only want to receive messages from one particular source? At the top right you can choose to receive messages only from certain sources.

Market

The market tab gives you an overview of all coins, and with +10,000 there are a lot of them, which you can track via the Blockfolio app, including their total market value, volume and price per token. Here you can check how big a coin actually is. Curious about more detailed information? Via EtherScan you can request all transactions and information if this token belongs to the Ethereum Blockchain.

Add transactions

This is of course the most important part of Blockfolio. We cannot track anything without transactions. Can't load your transaction history via the API key? Then you can still manually request and add your transaction history in Blockfolio. If you have been working with cryptos for a while, this may be a time-consuming afternoon, but it is definitely worth it!

At the top you can see whether it concerns a purchase, sale or transfer. It is important to indicate your own exchange here because each exchange rates are slightly different in purchase amount and transaction costs. View the best crypto exchanges here and determine for yourself which one you think is the best.

Trading Pair

Here you can choose with which currency you want to buy or sell. Do you trade in dollars or euros? You can adjust this manually. You can manually enter the price per coin, the amount you bought for it, the transaction costs and also the date. By means of this data, Blockfolio gets a clear overview of your transaction history.

Profit/Loss

In addition to a general overview, you can click on a crypto from the home page for further information. You can navigate at the top of the menu bar, but the most used is of course the profit/loss function, the essence of Blockfolio. Here Blockfolio tracks the prices from the separate coins in your portfolio from the moment you bought. This unique data is important to track your different cryptos. You may have gains in your overall portfolio, but one specific coin is doing very poorly. Then of course you want to anticipate this.

Because there are more and more forks, there are also more coins. Not every wallet has the same amount of coins. That is why investors often have different wallets to be able to invest in the cryptos they believe in.

Blockfolio offers the possibility to track as many as 800 cryptos. This way you can keep track of the entire value of all your wallets in an overview. After all, you want to know how you stand financially.

Alerts

Essential when trading and buying cryptos is of course the current price and market value. Nobody wants to buy overpriced cryptos with the possibility of not taking any profits here. That is why you can set alerts that warn you by means of push notifications when the token you have chosen has reached a certain price. This way you can invest at the right time.

This functionality is also possible with the regular crypto applications, but here you have bundled everything in one schematic overview.

Support API

Do you already have different coins in different wallets and does it seem too much trouble to enter these previously performed transactions in Blockfolio? No problem, Blockfolio has API support. This is a kind of unique code that allows a particular piece of software to use the features on another chosen platform. This way you can export all transactions from your wallet and upload them in Blockfolio.

Unfortunately, not all wallets have the API functions.

Conclusion

In a growing financial market of cryptocurrencies, the choice is enormous. There are many wallets, each with their own specifications. Of course it is possible to buy the main cryptos such as Bitcoin, Ethereum and Cardano, but more and more investors are also seeing their chances in new currencies. These coins are not available with every wallet, so over time we will have different wallets together, each with their own coins. This amount makes it difficult to keep an overview of our own investment and essential of our own proceeds. That is why crypto trackers are essential.
