Anything and everything can be manipulated. In decentralized governance, when we pick on different options, we think we have a choice and the people have the power but who picks the different options the people pick from? Prob either 1 or a small group of people. How decentralized is anything when a smart contract is written by 1 or a few people?
I think every question should be answered honestly. I dont care if the answers are negative. The way I see it is, if I can see something that's wrong are looks off to people, others can prob see it as well so best to address it if asked about it. From my experience, putting off hard questions does not mean they go away, just means, you'll be asked again and by more people, as others see the question not be answered.
I see others cherry-pick questions. They might pick questions related to what they wanna talk about, they might blank are even delete ones they dont wanna answer are they simply have limited time and can only answer so many.
