I returned to Assassin's Creed Unity, set in Paris in 1307. When invaders attacked the temple, De Molay tasked me with hiding the sword and book. I climbed the structures, chased down an escaping assassin, fought off his strikes, and used the special sword to defeat him.
The story opened on October 13, 1307, in Paris, France. An unexpected visitor was knocking loudly on the big gate, claiming to be a friend, but the guard inside clearly made it known that he was not welcome.
The visitor mentioned that King Philip disagreed and presented a formal letter, so the guard had to open the gate. Before anyone could react, his accompanying warriors forced their way inside, stabbing the guard and instantly initiating a full-scale attack to seize the kingdom.
During the chaos, De Molay approached my character and instructed me to follow him while the other guards were tasked to go ahead and defend the temple.
As we moved quickly through the corridors, the old man warned me about incoming assassins who were attempting to steal precious Templar artifacts. He ordered me to climb up into the high tower, locate the special sword and book, and hide them safely so they would not fall into the enemy's hands.
I immediately began scaling the stone walls, keeping an eye out for any lingering threats along the way. When a soldier blocked my path near a broken bridge, I engaged him in combat and took him down quickly before climbing higher.
I noticed the French flag flying prominently above the structure as I navigated the rooftops. Suddenly, an assassin threw a smoke bomb to blind the area and made a swift attempt to escape with the stolen relics.
I gave chase across the rooftops, scaling obstacles as fast as I could. The assassin tried to ambush me, but I parried his incoming sword strikes and countered with my own attacks.
After throwing another smoke bomb, he fled once more, but I pursued him until he finally stopped to face me. My character grabbed the special sword during the confrontation, harnessed its powerful energy to shock the assassin, and finished him off.
