El trabajo

Alguna vez se han preguntado cuál debería ser la edad para empezar a trabajar, porque hay millones de historias reales donde muchos cuenta que iniciaron incluso de niños, muy mal claro porque un niño no debe trabajar, de acuerdo a las leyes y a los derechos. Sin embargo, cuando a nuestros hijos en casa les asignamos pequeñas tareas de acuerdo a su edad, les decimos que son responsabilidades, esto tiene distintas connotaciones porque ya de grandes cuando tienen sus primeros trabajos remunerados es sobre algo que aprendieron con los padres.

Son muchas las actividades que se aprenden en casa, como a lavar el carro, sacar la basura, podar el césped, dedicarse a cuidar el jardín o el cuidado de alguna mascota, cocinar, lavar y todo el aseo del hogar, además algunos aprenden sobre el oficio de papá o mamá al cual se dedican. Definitivamente, es un gran aprendizaje que en adelante se pone en práctica en trabajos de medio tiempo o informales.

Esto lo digo porque me causo curiosidad la inquietud de mi hija con relación a lo que llamamos trabajo, porque se dio cuenta de que todo lo que hace mamá, papá y los hijos es casa no es remunerado y ella escucha decir repetidamente que las mamás están cansadas porque tienen mucho trabajo en casa y nadie les paga. Tiene mucha razón en su pregunta, no se les paga por todo lo que hacen y más fuerte es aun cuando se trabaja en casa y en la calle también.

Definitivamente, le, explique que si hay personas que ganan dinero por hacer todo el aseo de casa, pero por horarios y ese es su trabajo, en cambio, las mamas tienen esa responsabilidad en sus vidas y por eso dividen el trabajo con todos los miembros del hogar para que no esté tan cansada y todo sea más justo.

Todos los trabajos deben ser honrados, reconocidos y remunerados con justicia y equidad. Hoy primero de mayo se destaca una vez más y a nivel internacional se conmemora a todos los hombres y mujeres que día a día realizan una labor con responsabilidad.

Have you ever wondered what should be the age to start working, because there are millions of real stories where many tell that they started even as children, very wrong of course because a child should not work, according to the laws and rights. However, when we assign small tasks to our children at home according to their age, we tell them that they are responsibilities, this has different connotations because when they grow up, when they have their first paid jobs, it is about something they learned with their parents.

There are many activities that are learned at home, such as washing the car, taking out the garbage, mowing the lawn, taking care of the garden or taking care of a pet, cooking, washing and all the housekeeping, plus some learn about the job of mom or dad to which they are dedicated. Definitely, it is a great learning experience that is put into practice in part-time or informal jobs.

I say this because I was curious about my daughter's concern about what we call work, because she realized that everything mom, dad and children do at home is not paid and she hears repeatedly that moms are tired because they have a lot of work at home and no one pays them. She is very right in her question, they don't get paid for everything they do and it is even harder when you work at home and on the street as well.

Definitely, I explained to her that if there are people who earn money for doing all the housekeeping, but by schedules and that is their job, on the other hand, moms have that responsibility in their lives and that is why they divide the work with all the members of the household so that she is not so tired and everything is fairer.

All jobs should be honored, recognized and remunerated with justice and equity. Today May 1st is once again highlighted and internationally commemorates all men and women who every day perform a job with responsibility.
