As a fan of Reason, my position is that USA needs more freedom, federalism and decentralization. The sad truth is that Trump has big abilities and power because the power of the federal government and its presidency was enlarged by both Bush and Obama. So America needs lot of reforms for the future but this also demands more decentralization of powers to state and local governments. Such as regarding humanitarian immigration, climate policies, taxation etc. With a smaller federal government, also smaller political conflicts and polarisation.
