Oh! Night brings forth morning
Oh! Morning how come you offer mournings?
Oh! The Mississippi waw man's home.

His village isn't a deserted mountain,
Neither his hone an Island for fountain,
But for those whose colors are proud to offer,
Why bow and kneel for a shelter?
When thatch houses are ready to accommodate?
Oh! Mississippi, for time to fall is time to rise.

Rise not your sword and knowledge asking questions
For both God and nature can't be questioned,
Oh! Mississippi, control the tears.
