I took these entries for todays #cityscapephotography contest hosted by @photocontests this summer. I was backpacking through the Sky Lakes Wilderness in southern Oregon with a friend and took my camera along. Sometimes the extra weight is worth it to be able to get shots of beautiful remote areas seen by few. This is South lake and is one of the lakes featured along the seven lakes basin trail which starts on the western boundary of the wilderness area.
You will also come across Lake Ivern if you take a short 1.5 mile jaunt off of the seven lakes trail but is worth it during the late summer when the trail is lined on both sides with supple huckleberry bushes the entire way to the lake.
