Comfort is one of the aspects of beauty I am always cautious of, anything related to beauty must be comfortable for me or else it doesn't meet my criteria for beauty. The desire to always look beautiful is a goal for many most especially for my gender and the rate at which females go at achieving it sometimes makes me think there is more to it than ordinary. It is good to look beautiful but inflicting pain on myself in the process is something I wouldn't do even though I will end up being the most beautiful person in the world.

It has always been a belief for me while growing that beauty should make me comfortable. Aside from using a neck chain, a small touch of makeup and earrings, any other thing looks excessive to me. Being an extrovert, I have met a lot of people with different ideologies about beauty. Some made me feel like I am not putting effort into looking more beautiful than I am and my response to them is always the same, "I am naturally beautiful and do not need to go to extra mile with jewelry or makeup."

My definition for beauty goes beyond just the physical appearance, it involves the internal body and I pay attention to that more because it contributes a lot to my physical look.

I really don't understand the fuss people make about beautifying themselves, some people do makeup to the point they can't be recognized anymore. I do make-up too because I go out a lot but it has to be done moderately, it can be simple and still look beautiful.

Another part of beauty I don't get why people do is piercing because I don't see how it adds to beauty. That thing hurts so badly but they still go on the pierce places that normally shouldn't be exposed. I thought multiple earrings were too much until I saw three to four rings on the nose, I was shocked to the bone because I didn't understand the significance of it.
This beauty obsession is as bad as people doing dimples, adjusting their chin and even their nose.

Having excessive neck chains is not exempted, don't they feel heavy? One neck chain is okay or probably two, Why would someone go about with a big neck chain looking like a giant dog collar?

People can do a lot better with beauty, a lot of these things can be done in a simpler way and still love awesome. We don't have to waste time, go through pain and others just to look beautiful. I think the major problem is lack of confidence and people following the trend while in some cases, there are people who aren't just contented with how they look.

Beauty starts with accepting oneself the way you are before expecting others to accept you.
