I have been thinking about these things a lot, and there is still some parts missing for what could really solve the issues. A community cryptocurrency is already out there and slowly spreading, absolutely

Yeah now is not the best time for that xD

maybe make it officially HugFest instead of HiveFest now xD

I am talking about neither. I am talking about OLC, Open Location Codes, aka Plus Codes, invented by Google Zürich. read about it on

Pro tip: on you can see the history of things you have done, so you should be able to find all people back that you unfollowed. Every unfollow is neatly noted down there :). At the point of writing this

Fully true, the point is having a simple to remember way for any place on earth to find your place back. is a fully open source webapp written by me that runs on IPFS so it doesn't even reach any of my

I use BCH on alfa.top for the same reason. I used to use and like Bitrefill a lot, but their main focus seems to be making lightening work. I hope they will give HIVE a chance but I kinda doubt it.

Thanks for mentioning me! I don't really like self-promotion but every support vote helps :).

It's possible, but when you can buy the full top governance, and even more when you actually do, I run away and go for the fork. That is what happened. It's basically the inverse of a democratic voting

yeah, technically it's not a 51% attack, but 100% of governance takeover would qualify as the same in spirit I would say?

We "those who cared to move to HIVE". Honestly, HIVE is HIVE and STEEM is STEEM. The people on STEEM should care about THEIR governance.

It literally just demands a software upgrade. There is no consensus needed to get it through, because it's all in JS's hands.

I'm pretty sure it could, and I am still waiting for the moment that will show that. Doesn't change the fact that Steem as is doesn't work as a blockchain and as such doesn't serve for most projects. Do

I don't think you have any proof of your idea that the average in the community would be 80, it seems very improbable to me. Even if that were the case, it doesn't in itself proof or disproof any statement.

Now if you ask, was the coin wipe necessary? YES, it was, because otherwise the fork would have the same 51% vulnerability. There was NO other way to solve this. Does this mean that Steem was vulnerable

Officially tested IQ of 130 here, thank you very much. Maybe you should test yours.

to stop the 51% attack.

Yes and yes. I am in the Google contributors data. Some code I contributed is included in all Ubuntu disks. I didn't contribute a lot of open source code, but I do write my own code almost exclusively

Yes and no. Do you know what Open Source is? And what a fork is in the Open Source world? And why anything would fork? Most importantly, why it's possible to fork something with Open Source...

They just put out a comment about following the Blockchain as authoritative, however it came to the conclusion to do that. I can follow that reasoning, which is also why the correct response to one person
