Hello, Splinters, Welcome to my Weekly Battle Challenge section. Today, I am going to share another battle for this Weekly Battle Challenge. With battle detail Armored Up and Taking Side ruleset, I have an idea of how to win this battle effortlessly.

Mylor Crowling Synopsis

Although the Magi hates to admit it, Mylor is the most gifted student who has attended Summoners’ Green in many years. For hundreds of years, the Magi taught many students whose ambition exceeded reason and morality. When he looks into Mylor’s eyes, the Magi still sees a power-greedy child. Against the headmaster’s wishes, Mylor responded to a Gloridax invitation to Mount Mox and is now summons competitively in the tournaments. His style is wild and reckless, and he laughs while summoning like it is all a big game.

The battle happened on Silver League within Ranked Battle a Wild Format. The battle detail is Armored Up and Taking Side rulesets, with 17 mana caps for the battle; as for splinters available is Earth, Fire, Death, and Life. Within this situation, I decided to pick Mylor Crowling as my Summoner and, combined with Magic-type meta, add some cannon fodder just in case my enemy uses Sneak meta or Opportunity meta.

Battle Preparation & Strategy

PostCardAbilityPlan
SummonerThornsMylor Crowling is the best anti-melee summoner ever, Mylor Crowling is a rare Earth Summoner from the Dice expansion pack. No one able Melee-type left unscathed when fighting against Mylor Crowling because Thorns' Ability will be countered every time you touch monsters he summoned.
Main TankMagic ReflectFailed Summoner is a Rare monster from The Untamed Expansion pack. With only 2 mana consumed, this is the best tank for Earth players to choose for low mana caps battle since the battle detail is Armored Up. I suspected the enemy will using Magic-type meta.
SecondSneakGoblin Sorcerer is a Common monster from the Alpha Expansion pack, even though this monster is magic-type, I decided to use this monster because it can Sneak enemy backline monsters, and with this, I will not be caught by enemy Magic Reflection.
ThirdTank HealKhmer Princess is a rare monster from The Untamed Expansion pack, Khmer Princess only consumes 2 mana with a great Tank heal ability when playing low mana cap battle combined with Failed Summoner and Khmer princess will be enough to annoy enemy to his death.
FourthTank Heal, AfflictionGoblin Psychic is a common monster from the Chaos Legion expansion pack since this is low mana with Armored Up ruleset in case the enemy has the same thought as me, so I decided to use Affliction if enemy using Tank heal too.
FifthNo AbilityFungus Fiend is a Legendary monster from the Chaos Legion expansion pack. I decided to put this 0 mana monster as cannon fodder in my Backlink to prevent my enemy sneak or opportunity monsters from cleaning up my lineup from the back.
SixthThornsMycelic Morphoid is a Commons monster from the Chaos Legion expansion pack; since I can't use a neutral monster with 1 mana left to use, I decided to use this Mycelic Morphoid and put it at the backline for cannon fodder purpose.

Round 2
  • Serpentine Spy starts the round and kills Goblin Sorcerer, and Tenyii Striker kills Mycelic Morphoid in one strike.

Round 3 - 4: End of the Battle
  • As Round 3 started, Serpentine Spy attacked Fungus Fiend but died after getting Thorns in return, and Tenyii Striker killed Fungus Fiend to revenge Serpentine Spy.

  • After Antoid Platoon attacked Failed Summoner, Khmer Princess with Goblin Psychich began to attack and killed Antoid Platoon, and only left Tenyii Striker alone on the battlefield.
  • Tenyii Striker died when he tried to kill Failed Summoner in Round 4.
Did my Strategy Work?

Yes, My Strategies and Plans are working perfectly. With the Armored Up ruleset and Thorn's ability from Mylor Crowling makes, my lineup is perfectly protected since every time melee-type monsters attack my monsters, Thorn's ability will counter them. So What if my Enemy uses Monster with Magic Reflect as the main tank too? That's why I placed Goblin Sorcerer in the second line so that It could clean the enemy from backlink first, and Goblin Psychic will cast Affliction to the enemy tank so it couldn't be recovered with Tank Heal.
