I have another idea that could help Hive grow in the long term. What if Hive had an official referral program? Every Hiver could receive a unique referral link that they could share on their blog, website, social media profiles or with friends. However, I don't think the reward should be given simply for a new registration, as that could easily lead to abuse and fake accounts. Instead, rewards could be based on the referred user's activity. For example:
-the new user publishes their first post,
-remains active for 30 days,
-reaches a certain reputation level,
-or achieves another meaningful milestone.
This would encourage people not only to invite new users but also to help them become active members of the Hive community. It could work really well together with HivePosh. For example, someone discovers a Hive post through Pinterest, Bluesky, X, Threads, or another platform, enjoys the content, and then decides to join Hive using the creator's referral link.In that case, HivePosh would reward content promotion, while the referral program would reward bringing active new members into the ecosystem.I believe this would create a much stronger incentive to promote not only individual posts but Hive itself.
