Literally!
For the third time in one year there was a fire in a Covid hospital in Romania. This time, 7 people were killed in the ICU.
Soon enough, politicians started with their usual finger-pointing and blame-assigning. That's not surprising.
What is beyond shocking is the reaction of the propaganda machine. It started in a couple of hours before the news broke. At that moment, the number of victims had not yet been ascertained and families were just gathering in front of the hospital to ask about their loved ones.
Well, one of our leading media personalities knew exactly who was to blame - the dead, who else? It was obviously their fault that they didn't get the vaccine shot and ended up in the ICU.
Sort of they got it coming. Just short of Good Riddance!
A few hours later, another staunch propagandist decided to up the ante:
Get vaccinated or you're next!
In my days as a journalist, I've met both guys, even worked with one of them. I've followed their careers and it's no secret they're on Big Pharma's payroll. One of them has a medical degree, actually, and it's probably a good thing he chose a different career path. I wouldn't want to be treated by such an individual!
What I find most disturbing is that, here in Romania, at least, those that support the official narrative seem to have lost it completely. No one in their right minds would dare to blame the poor people that died in the fire for getting sick. Even if you're a Covid believer and privately think that they got what they deserved you know better than to say that in public. You just don't do that!
Just think about the friends and families of the victims checking the news and seeing such a horrendous thing - They didn't get the vaccine, so fuck them!
When you've been in the media for decades, you know what you can and cannot say. Let's not mention basic human decency, as such people obviously don't have that.
A couple of days ago, another journalist caused an uproar after saying that it's about time 'to rid children of their parents'! The talk-show was about vaccinating school children and what to do with those families that refuse. Easy - get rid of their stupid parents!
I was tempted to say this campaign to force people into submission is making these people crazy, but it's more than that. It's the attitude that comes from the top, from our seen and unseen leaders. They're the ones saying the unvaccinated are lesser human beings who do not deserve to walk among the decent folks!

As it happens, some years ago, there was a similar fire, that time in a maternity ward in Bucharest. Six newborn burned to death then. Hopefully after getting their tuberculosis shots.
