I think I've had this feeling of being a treasurer of memories after my mother died. I realized I am the only one to remember various moments I shared with her and my sister, also long gone. Not to mention pictures of dinner parties. When you realize most of the people at the table are gone, some of them without surviving children or relatives, it kinda feels like only I know they ever existed. The same applies to us I guess.
